In Bits & Pieces, Marlys Kubicek contemplates time’s passing and creates new artwork from unusual materials found in her art studio. This exhibition emphasizes items of value that have been saved, lost, and re-found, including her grandmother’s unused quilt squares. “My mother saved them, and I have saved them,” Kubicek said. “It’s time to make something meaningful with them.”

Kubicek is a long-standing member of Five15Arts and her work utilizes recurring images of skeletons, the human body and her political views.
