Angela RoseRed
Photography, Mixed-Media
Angela RoseRed is an Arizona native mixed-media artist and photographer working in darkroom silver gelatin, digital color photography, and collage. Her practice explores memory, storytelling, and immersive experience through layered visual narratives rooted in personal and collective history.
Her collage-based works examine themes of mortality, humanity, and nature. Across her practice, RoseRed celebrates and finds wonder in the unusual, exploring fear and uncertainty as pathways toward understanding how people seek comfort, meaning, and connection through shared experiences and emotional vulnerability.
In her photographs of abandoned environments, RoseRed expresses a deep connection to spaces left behind. These sites reveal lessons about impermanence, resilience, and the passage of time. As nature reclaims what was once occupied, traces of human presence remain embedded in texture, color, light, and decay. By looking closely, these environments reveal voices of yesterday, singing stories that continue to resonate long after people havegone.
Grounded in both analog tradition and contemporary practice, RoseRed believes art holds the power to foster empathy, connection, and deeper understanding. Her work invites viewers to pause, observe, reflect, and engage thoughtfully with stories persisting in overlooked places and unconventional forms of beauty. Through careful attention, her work encourages curiosity, remembrance, and reflection..
